SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
By: Dodong Baguiz
The Christian world expects much that salvation comes from Christ. The name Jesus Christ is always their by-word as the savior of mankind. One of the words left by Christ is the one written in Matthew 6:33 as reads; “But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
It appears a parable but it is clearly written. But by what way will the kingdom of God be found when it cannot be seen? Even the well-known scientists who have reached the farthest part of the universe become failures by not being able to say that they have seen God’s Kingdom. By this, troubles in Biblical interpretation started resulting from many different minds in understanding it.
We must understand that no one can ever seen God’s Kingdom or Heaven, and it is so difficult to do so. Owing to this, the Christians come up with different explanations. There are those who say, “Just accept Christ and put him in to your heart, for sure you are save.” Accordingly, Christ is in heaven. That is why if you put him in to your heart, you have seen heaven already.
Millions of Christians have neglected to realize that the Bible they believe in is so voluminous. It is so possible that in other parts thereof there are words of God that give light to those who are so eager o find his kingdom. In Psalm 74:1-2 we read; “Why have you rejected us forever, O God? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture? Remember the people you purchased of old, the tribe of your inheritance, whom you redeemed – Mount Zion, where you dwelt.” In Psalm 132:13-14 we also read; “For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling: “This is my resting place forever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.” In Joel 3:17 we also read; “Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.” It is clear to understand that God dwells in MountZion. It is His resting place forever and ever. It is pretty sure that it is His Kingdom. If so, why it is that no one of Christian looks for this mountain?
There is no mountain in space that is why it so certain that Mount Zion is just here on earth. In Isaiah 24:15 we read; “Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.” It is so clear to understand that God is glorified in the islands in the east.
The east is composed of many nations. Through investigation and research, there is only one country in the east that is composed of multiple islands which is located in the vast ocean, and this is none other but the country Philippines. Aside from that, Philippines is the only prevailing Christian country that is why it is not possible to see in the Bible other country in the East as the location of Mount Zion because nobody will believe owing to the fact that they are non-Christians.
Therefore, it is here in the Philippines where the Lord God will be glorified in the East and Mount Zion which is His dwelling place is also in the Philippines. That is why in King James Version, Psalm 48:2 we read, “Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the side of the North, the city of Great King.” The Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands and one of it is the Island of Mindanao which is otherwise well-known as “Land of Promise”. To the unbelievers, this has no worth to them. But for those who are knowledgeable, it is in Mindanao where God will save his chosen ones. Based on the said text, Mount Zion can be located in Northern part of Mindanao.
Not only in Mindanao, almost in every part of the Philippines there are groups of Christians occupying a mountain and they call it Mount Zion. But the true MountZion has identifying signs. In Isaiah 28:16 we read; “So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.” and we also read in 1Peter 2:6; “For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” It is understood that it is a stone formed triangle in order to be called cornerstone, and in every corner there stands like a post strengthened to withstand strong earthquake. That is why in Psalm 125:1 we read; “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.” MountZion has an exact place and not built by man but by God only. That is why it is worthless for those who claim that they were the builders of it and call it MountZion.
In the end of days, God has promised salvation. It is for a small flock mentioned in Luke 12:32 and there is also a prophecy in Revelation 14:1 about the redeemed 144,000 people. They sing a song in MountZion which only they who can understand it.
These Bible texts are only a few among those that can prove that salvation will take place only in Mount Zion. Whoever does not seek refuge in the said mountain at the advent of the earthquake (Seventh Plague) will never survive. InIsaiah 14:32 we read; “What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? “The Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.” Also in Isaiah 37:32 we read; “For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.” And inJeremiah 4:6 we read; “Raise the signal to go to Zion! Flee for safety without delay! For I am bringing disaster from the north, even terrible destruction.” Also in Joel 2:32 we read; “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the survivors whom the Lord calls.” That is why the Lord Jesus Christ said that we must seek the Kingdom of God to which the Bible cited MountZion as the dwelling place of God and the place of salvation. Once one has found or locates the MountZion, for sure he has already found the Kingdom of God.
In addition to this, in Matthew 16:18 we read; “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” This is also the promise of the Lord to his true people that they will not experience death. There are those who claim that they are the true God’s people, but why there are some among them who die? The true people of God never taste death. That is His promise. That is the very reason why the Lord wants the people to seek God’s Kingdom. Once you have found it, you are already assured of your salvation.
